What do you do in Dogiz?
Dogiz is a One Stop Shop for Urban Pet Owners! We provide on demand services for urban dog owners. We are Israel's largest and fastest growing pet care providers!
Can you share some recent development you've had?
We are now working on our new product, which will include a personal hub for pet owners. Our new platform will use AI and machine learning to guide pet owners through the different stages of their pet's lives. We will use our data and machine learning to offer tailor made services and products according to our users needs.
There has been huge increases of pet adoption and ownership since the beginning of lockdown and this is a huge and growing market which is ripe for disruption.
What do you think is in for the company in the near – and far – future?
We are very excited for the new product which will be a far more technological tool and will take advantage of the huge amount of data that we have already collected. The new personal hub will be an interactive guide for pet owners so that they can track their health, wellness and life journey.
What do you think is the future of the field your company is operating in?

We believe that the combination of utilities and the personal hub for pet owners will be the ultimate tool for any urban pet owner looking to take better care of their pet!
Did the COVID-19 pandemic affect you in any way? If so – how? And how did you handle it?
Initially we had a decline in orders as more people started to work from home. However, we have now seen a steady month on month increase in our revenues and order numbers and are now at around 70/75% of where we were pre-COVID. The quieter time also enabled us to become more effective with a more limited manpower and allowed us to streamline a lot of our overhead costs.
How were Samurai able to help you (other than providing funds) following the investment?
Samurai were extremely helpful and supportive, especially during the initial tough onset of COVID. We are extremely grateful to have the Samurai team supporting us along our journey. They have always given us honest feedback and guidance and we are very lucky to be part of the Samurai family!
